Michael Crair is vice provost for research at Yale University and chair of the board of QuantumCT, where he leads universitywide strategy for research, innovation, and technology transfer. With a Ph.D. in physics from UC Berkeley and deep expertise in quantum physics, statistical mechanics, and computational modeling, he brings both scientific and leadership strength to the NSF Engines initiative focused on quantum technologies. Crair founded Yale Ventures to accelerate entrepreneurship and industry engagement, launching programs like the Blavatnik and Roberts Innovation Funds. His work bridges academia and industry to translate groundbreaking discoveries into societal impact  an essential pillar of the regional innovation ecosystem envisioned by QuantumCT.
